Welcome to the inner workings of my life,
So dark and foul I can’t disguise,
Can’t disguise,
Night like this,
I become afraid,
Of the darkness in my heart,
Hurricane.

Exquisite Vertical Gardens Cascade Over the Concrete Jungle by Patrick Blanc
Installation artist Patrick Blanc is immensely familiar with the realm of plants and their magical beauty. Blanc installs stunning carpet like greenery on unconventional and contemporary spaces all over the world, including, Paris, Bangkok, New York, Singapore and other locations. Blanc beautifully introduces a living symbol into an artificial manmade structure. The cityscape is immediately changed by the biodiversity which is taking refuse in concrete walls.
You can follow his impressive trajectory and work in his book The Vertical Garden: From Nature to the City, which chronicles his amazingly beautiful work.

Fantasy Art by Japanese Artist Miho Hirano
Miho Hirano is a Japanese artist living in Abiko, Chiba. She is a graduate of Musashino Art University. The fantasy world Miho paints is inhabited by ephemeral women who seem to be merging with their environment as their hair flows into flowering tree limbs, bird filled bushes, and drifting seaweed. Not knowing all the cultural significance of the natural world in her paintings makes it hard to truly appreciate her work, but it is easy to fall in love with the wonderful women and world that she has created. Miho Hirano’s work is in a group display at the Jiro Miura Gallery in Japan until August 15, 2015. Thanks to Hi-Fructose. You can see Miho Hirano’s portfolio at mihohirano.strikingly.com

Juan Osorno
Like bizarre educational prints from a related but slightly unnerving alternate reality, the sober drawings of Juan Osorno portray anonymous figures whose faces have been assimilated by forests, stars and planets. Drawn on old notebook paper and neatly numbered, they could just as easily have been found in the yellowed memoirs of a scientist who somehow caught a glimpse of another world.

Alexandra Levasseur
Francis Bacon. Study for Portrait II, III, IV (after the Death Mask of William Blake). 1955-56.
Barcelona-based Elisa Ancori demonstrates her obsession with the sea with an intricate visual exploration of humans entering into it. Her characters are part koi or jellyfish or lionfish, sometimes caught in the awkward, in-between of metamorphosis.
